Unlike a sermon, Sabbath School is a place where students are allowed to ask questions and make comments. This past week the Sabbath School lesson dealt with God’s Law. I followed the lesson by Internet and posted a couple of questions that were deleted. My questions dealt with the issue of abortion. Here are the questions:
A. Four decades ago when the State of Hawaii legalized abortions on demand, our church allowed our Adventist hospitals to profit from the killing of innocent unborn children for profit with impunity and thousands of babies were sacrificed on the altar of convenience. Was this right or wrong? My question was deleted.
B. Recently our church publicly declared its neutrality on abortion in the country of Kenya. How can we be neutral on killing, which is a violation of the Sixth Commandment of God? If we sexually harm a child, it is wrong; but if we kill the child before it is born, we are neutral? I don’t understand! This question of mine was deleted as well.
Was it wrong for me to ask those questions?
